Layer400 is an independent UK-developed Remote ID network. The goal is simple: make compatible local broadcasts useful at network scale without pretending the result is complete, official or certain.

Clear onboarding, scoped device credentials, resilient queues, explicit data age and recoverable systems matter just as much as the map.

01 / USEFUL

Open the map without friction

The public picture is available without payment. Sign-in is reserved for features that need an account, such as history, receiver ownership and saved workflows.

02 / HONEST

State what the data cannot prove

Layer400 shows received broadcasts, not every drone. It does not label a flight legal or illegal, infer a route through a gap or turn a model match into identity proof.

03 / PRIVATE

Publish less than we receive

Exact receiver positions, account identities and sensitive broadcast evidence do not belong on an anonymous global map.

04 / REVOCABLE

One receiver, one identity

A feeder uses a device credential that can be rotated or revoked. It never needs the contributor's reusable account password.

05 / MEASURED

Coverage grows from evidence

A station becomes meaningful when it sends accepted observations. Coverage, rewards and leaderboards should never be created from a registration record alone.

06 / SUSTAINABLE

Charge for added work, not existence

Long history, operations, alerts and contracted integrations fund the service. The free live view remains a first-class product.
